An official bottling from the Yoichi Distillery which is owned by Nikka Whisky, the first distillery of Nikka in Hokkaido. Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka selected this place because of its cool climate and natural environment like Scotland.

The Yoichi Distillery continues to adhere to techniques such as the use of coal-fired pot stills, and remains loyal to the whisky-making traditions dating back to its foundation. This whisky, stored and matured for 10 years or more in oak casks, is characterized by fruity, sweet nose and smooth, velvety palate.
