About this wine :
100% Pinot Noir, 8 months in wooden barrel. Grown on the Alsatian side on weathered sandstone soil. The grapes come from our VDP.1.Lage Steinwingert vineyard. The age of the vines ranges from 10 to 50 years. Harvested by hand and carefully selected. Only pure juice extraction, no pressing of the grapes. The controlled fermentation and further aging took place in used barrique barrels. After 8 months of fine lees aging and gentle filtration, the wine was bottled in June 2023.
Falstaff - "Herbal and spicy notes on the nose, with wild berries, red cherry and also plum, blood orange, orange peel and subtle toasty aromas. The palate is tautly structured, with tight-knit extract, ripe, fleshy tannins, discretely rich and yet has good tension, a precise vein of acidity and an underlying chalky minerality, all very well integrated."
